Privacy Policy

What we collect
Your email (for sign-in), your profile (username, name, photo, optional Instagram handle), the messages you send to your connections, and your answers in games. Optionally, a phone number if you turn on SMS or WhatsApp notifications.
How it's used
Messages and game answers are shared only with the connection you play with — that's the point of the app. Game answers may also power your match results if you opt in to matching. We use your email or phone to notify you about turns, messages, and requests.
Legal basis
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), with your consent where we ask for it (marketing messages, optional matching), and on our legitimate interest in keeping the app safe and working (fraud prevention, error reporting, security). Where consent is the lawful basis you can withdraw it at any time in the app.
Your rights
You have the right of access to your personal data, the right to correction, the right to erasure, the right to data portability (a copy in a portable, machine-readable format), and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. In the app, Me → Download my data exports everything we hold, and Delete my account erases it. For anything else, email support@gwp.chat and we'll respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We don't show your chats or answers to anyone outside the connection they belong to, and we don't use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Service providers
We use Resend (sign-in and notification emails), Twilio (optional SMS/WhatsApp notifications), Apple (subscriptions and Sign in with Apple), and our hosting providers to run the service. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Your choices
You can block or remove a connection at any time, or delete your account entirely — deleting your account removes your profile, messages, and answers. Email support@gwp.chat for data requests.
